To develop a methodology for wind resource assessment in urban and peri-urban areas, able to predict wind speed in urban location with a maximum 8% standard RMS error, without the need of performing a measuring campaign, and to implement such methodology in a software. By means of that software the consortium will be able to assess and validate the accuracy of the model in the three locations in the project.
· To assess the wind resource in the chosen demo-sites by specific measurement campaigns.
· To simulate the wind behaviour and the local effects in the influenced areas.
· To improve the methodology of wind resource assessment and the related existing software to obtain more accurate results at local level.
