SWIP discusses with stakeholders the current situation of small windturbines technologies at the Energy Environment International Trade Fair
SWIP co-ordinator, CIRCE, has presented the SWIP project to an audience of around 60 wind energy professionals at an event named, ‘Small wind energy technology: Experiences, Reality and expectations. Round table’. This workshop was organized as part of the Energy Environment International Trade Fair (GENERA) series of conferences, in Madrid on 25 February.
The event discussed the current market and development situation for small and medium wind turbines at national level, with researchers and turbine manufacturers. Leo Subias from CIRCE gave the presentation, which covered the project aims, consortium and presented the demonstration sites.
The interest of the audience was focused on the barriers that currently the technology has and how to overcome that barriers.
Madrid hosted the 18th edition of the International Energy and Environment Fair, organized by IFEMA. The event presented a comprehensive program of Technical Conferences in which technical and scientific knowledge shared the spotlight with the sector’s most recent developments. The program, which comprised a total of 18 sessions, was held in parallel with the commercial exhibition at Feria de Madrid.
Financing mechanisms, energy auditing, monitoring and management systems, innovation, consumption, or the impact of the regulatory framework were some of the topics that were analyzed and discussed by experts and business representatives.
